The volleyball team had home games on September 8th and 13th. Acelen Hart started off the varsity game on the 13th with a kill to left back. The volleyball girls are working hard this season and are extremely supportive of one another. There’s never a quiet moment from the bench!

The football team is now 3-1. At the game on September 9th, a player on the Nettleton Football team got recognized  on the Region 8 News. Kohen Ligons, number 44, got mentioned on the Region 8 News for stopping the running back behind the line of scrimmage.

Tennis had a match on September 7th. Landon Patterson and Barron Bean came back with 2 single wins. Landon Patterson scored 6-0, and Barron Bean scored 6-2. Both games were played against Riverside. The district tournament is coming up on the first week of October.

 

The Golf team is doing well this season. The varsity team, which consists of Berkley Reed, Bennett Ditto, Jayce Reed, and Kaleb McClain, had a district tournament on September 20th and 21st in Batesville. Kaleb McClain and Berkley Reed made it to state. Berkley Reed got top 4th in individuals at state, and Kaleb is set to go to state soon.

The cheer team is working hard at practice and performances. Abby Gage got a chance to stop by during some of their practices, and she says they’re “working extremely hard to perfect everything. The team works really well together.” They have a new coach this year, Coach Emily Sheets.

The dance team is working extremely hard as well. They have a show-stopping dance that they’re going to preform at their upcoming dance competition in October. They’re projected to have a great competition season. They work well as a team, and constantly help one another improve. You’ll have to come see them at their upcoming competition!
